Our Legacy
First Consultant Medical Centre gained global recognition in 2014 when it became the center of attention during the Ebola virus outbreak. The hospital was where the Ebola patient Patrick Sawyer was admitted after falling ill upon arrival in Lagos. Despite the tragic outcome of Mr. Sawyer’s case, our hospital and staff demonstrated exemplary courage and professionalism during this challenging time.
Our Hero
Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh, the doctor who attended to Patrick Sawyer, tragically succumbed to Ebola, but her heroic actions in preventing Sawyer from leaving the hospital at the time of diagnosis undoubtedly saved countless lives. Her selfless dedication to duty and sacrifice will forever be remembered as a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s fight against the Ebola virus.
